Where and when.
Sunday Worship.
We meet for Worship every Sunday morning at 10am in Burnby Community Hall, Pocklington, YO42 2QF. Our services last around an hour with plenty of time to talk and get to know people afterwards. Because the hall is right next to Burnby Hall Gardens the local area can get busy in the summer, but there is plenty of parking at the hall and on the surrounding streets.
Arriving by car:
From York: Turn left from the A1079 at the direction sign for Burnby Gardens at Pocklington. From Market Weighton: Turn right at the brown direction sign for Burnby Gardens off the A1079 at Pocklington. Don’t turn right to Burnby before the sign! From Driffield (via the B1246): Enter Pocklington, drive past Woldgate School and turn left at the direction sign for Burnby Gardens on Percy Road. Follow the road to the Balk and turn left just before the roundabout.
Arriving by Bus:
East Yorkshire buses to and from York, Driffield, Bridlington, Beverley and Hull stop nearby, with Pocklington bus station approximately 500 yards from the hall on these regular bus routes.
Five o’clock Fellowship.
Our Church family gathers during term time again at 5pm on Sundays for 'five o'clock fellowship'. At this meeting we enjoy tea and toast and to gather around tables for an interactive session of teaching and prayer aimed at all ages. It is a great opportunity to do more topical teaching, wrestle with big questions together and get the children involved. We hope you can join us!
Prayer Meeting.
On the first and third Tuesday of the month we meet to pray together as a church family. We meet at the Wilson’s home at 6pm for food followed by prayer at 7pm.
Small Group.
We meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month in Pocklington and Market Weighton to study the Bible together and spend time praying for one another. You would be more than welcome to join us! Just fill out our connect card for more information.
CPC Youth.
Every other Friday night the youth of our church meet from 8am to 9:30am to play, eat and learn more about Jesus together. If you are interested in your child coming along just fill out our connect card for more information.
Singing around the Piano.
'Singing Around the Piano' meets on Friday afternoons (apart from the last Friday of the month) at 2pm at the Pocklington Christian Fellowship building. The meeting is followed by a Faith Tea. Everyone is welcome!
Men’s Breakfast.
Men are invited to meet for food, fellowship, and Bible study on the first Saturday of the month from 8am to 9:30am.
